Today’s Mind Blowing LED Lighting
Lighting has come a long way since the prehistoric times when humans relied on natural light from the sun and stars to work. The evolution of lighting and shelter go hand in hand, and it wasn’t until 4500 BC that humanity was able to sustain a light source without managing it.
The first fabricated light was likely a torch, while the first lamps were shells or hollow rocks filled with fuel such as dried grasses or wood. In 4500 BC, lamps came into use, whose fuel source later evolved to methane, ethylene, and kerosene. In the 1790s, the gas lamp was invented in England and brought to the United States.
The advent of electricity revolutionized lighting technology. The Great Barrington demonstration project showed how alternating current could power businesses from one transformer, leading the way to cheaper lighting for entire city streets. Thomas Edison’s invention of a bulb that could last for 1500 hours in 1880 marked a significant milestone in the evolution of lighting.
Today, we have energy-efficient LED lights that are replacing traditional incandescent bulbs. LED lights are more durable, consume less energy, and have a longer lifespan than incandescent bulbs.
If you can upgrade your home or office to the latest LED lighting, you’ll be amazed at the savings and performance.
We have spent a lot of time with clients advising them on new lighting solutions and none compare to the current batch of LED alternatives on the market. Cool, energy efficient and often SMART too boot! Old neon tubes have been replaced with ‘instant on’ LED batons, dimmer bulbs, variable colour options. There seem to be endless permutations offering the creative out there to have something quite unique.
Options include entire ceiling panels, artistic lighting and the more traditional lighting – with plenty of different types in between! Installation is no more difficult albeit different than what you may have been used to in the past. The results can be and are spectacular in many instances. It’s one of those things where once you have it you cant go back!
